GUYS AND DOLLS FEATURES TOP LOCAL TALENT IN A BELOVED
AMERICAN MUSICAL PRODUCED BY CREATIVE ARTS THEATER

Victorville, CA – Creative Arts Theater, the High Desert’s premiere company for extraordinary
theater, continues its 2017 season with the classic American musical Guys and Dolls April 20
through 30 at the High Desert Center for the Arts in Victorville.

Broadway musicals have become a tradition for thousands of patrons throughout the high desert
region… and is there any American musical more classic than Guys and Dolls? Considered by
many to be the perfect musical comedy, and featuring signature songs like “Luck Be A Lady,” “A
Bushel and a Peck,” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” Guys and Dolls weaves a
memorable tale of old-time gangsters, hot-box girls, and gambling. Based on the short stories of
Damon Runyan, Guys and Dolls continues to be a cultural touchstone of lovable wise-guys and
the women who find themselves romantically entangled with them.

“While CAT likes to do new and contemporary pieces, sometimes a classic musical is just the
right fit!” says Tim Glisson, Director, “Ammiel Hamrick (Assistant Director/Choreographer) and
I wanted to work together on this project. It has love, laughs, and great musical numbers. It’s a
great show for the entire family without having to take a trip ‘down the hill’.”
