🎭 About Creative Arts Theater

Founded in 2010 by Tim and Cherie Glisson, Creative Arts Theater (CAT) was built to give performers of all ages a place to grow, shine, and create. Tim and Cherie were well-known fixtures in the High Desert theater scene during the early 2000s, and after an extended sabbatical, they returned—not as actors, but as founders—with a bold new vision for local theater.

Their first show as CAT, Grease, launched with rave reviews and set the tone for a company driven by community, creativity, and excellence. Shortly after, Robert Blomker joined the CAT board and directed You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, another standout production that helped establish CAT as a High Desert staple.

By 2011, CAT had joined the High Desert Cultural Arts Foundation and taken up residence at the High Desert Center for the Arts, quickly expanding its slate with hit productions like Seussical, RENT, The Importance of Being Earnest, California Love, and A Christmas Carol.
